Although it is a learning institution, Bethnal Green Technology College was specifically interested in creating a learning culture so that staff could better adapt their teaching to students’ learning styles; improve their own team building and management; and achieve better financial results. Focusing on the why and how of developing a learning culture, the role of leadership and teams, and practice using creativity and problem-solving tools, led to the resolution of an issue around the school day timetable, options for aligning to students’ learning styles, and adoption of the learning organization assessment I provided. “A very pleasant, challenging workshop which provided a range of practical techniques and exercises that we can adapt and implement.”
