Business Link Hertfordshire (similar to our Small Business Administration) asked me to develop a leadership program for social enterprises, a business model of which they had limited knowledge. I created SELECT (Social Enterprise Leadership Coaching and Training), a program that combines experiential learning and peer-to-peer coaching and which is structured for time-stretched nonprofit executives. Tangible benefits for participants included greater income; increased confidence and ability as a leader; improved trust, communication and delegation with staff; and effectively dealing with turnover issues.
“The SELECT course has been the most effective course of this type that I have attended. The tutoring, arrangement of sessions, practical application backed up with notes, the coaching sessions… all of these factors have helped to make this course particularly effective for me. My leadership has improved considerably during the program.”
